Why You Should Get an Online Degree
Why an online Degree might be right for you

There are many factors that are important in determining why an online education might be right for you. Consider the following discussion to better understand how important career advancement is to you.
Plain and simple, getting an online education will more than likely translate into a better career and more money. There seems to be a consensus that education will improve your quality of life and better prepare you for a job. It's rare when college drop-outs find success, and if some still do, they are likely to be few and far between. A lot of people believe that the more education you have, the more potential opportunities you will create for yourself.
Pursuing an online education can also mean getting a vocational degree. Vocational degrees prepare individuals for jobs that are in high demand as well. The *U.S. Department of Labor Statistics have established that approximately 20.8 million of the 21.6 new wage and salary jobs generated over the 2002-2012 period will be service providing professionals. Free Online College Degrees- do these exist? The short answer is NO. However, scholarships can help with online degree tuition expenses if you qualify. Similar to grants, scholarships are sources of funding (or other promised aid) gifted to students to pursue their education online, whether it be online graduate degrees or online undergraduate degrees—no repayment is necessary. While college scholarships are granted for a variety of reasons, the most common are student merit, financial need, athleticism, ethnicity and field of study.

The US Department of Education conducted a lengthy study demonstrating that online students, having attended schools online, performed better than their traditional campus based student peers. The study mainly compared adult learners who were receiving some or all of their instruction online to those who only had face to face instruction. In standardized tests, online students were in the 59th percentile while their traditional peers were in the 50th, a statistically significant difference. Online education has made vast strides in acceptance, credibility and thus popularity over the past decade.
